Join the Cricket Event
Date: May 31, 2025Location: Celebration Square in Mississauga, ON
On May 31, 2025, The Princess Margaret will be hosting Canada’s first-ever street cricket fundraiser at Celebration Square! Co-ed teams made up of rookies, ringers, celebrities and players of all ages and skill levels will come together to raise funds for life-saving cancer research. When you register to play, you are going to bat for everyone who has been affected by this disease. With 2 in 5 Canadians being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, this is one game we all need to play.
Street Cricket Format
Cricket is a sport that is loved around the world. It has a rich history and can be played in many formats. We’ve made a few modifications to ensure participant safety and increase speed of play.
All teams must have:- 6-8 players
- All teams must raise $6,000 before game day to play
Note: Our Cricket event is proudly co-ed. We encourage teams to build varied rosters.

Corporate & Community Divisions
Each Cricket team will fall into one of two divisions: Corporate or Community. Building a corporate team is the ultimate employee engagement activity. It’s a great way to bond with colleagues and challenge others in your industry to suit up for a worthy cause. Creating a community team is the perfect way to bring family, friends, classmates and neighbours together. On Match Day, teams will be paired up based on the skill level that they have identified. We welcome all players, regardless of their level of experience.
Celebrity Draft
Before the event, our top fundraising teams will have the opportunity to add a cricket celebrity to their roster through our celebrity draft! Stay tuned for more details on who will be playing and tips to get you on the leaderboard.
